PUBP Environmental Policy
From WritingWiki
This is the wiki page for writing a short policy document on nutrient trading programs for water quality management. The document should include simple examples of buyers and sellers engaging in a trade and how a potential seller might calculate the number of sellable nutrient credits. These simple examples will help highlite the importance of science and policy considerations when designing and implementing a nutrient trading program. The TJ Public Policy Class- Environmental Policy- are the primary contributors to this site.
The goals of this project is to produce a document on nutrient trading programs describing the following:

- Existing nutrient trading programs and the academic literature on nutrient trading markets
- Case Study summaries
- The legal standing for a nutrient trading program from a local, state, and federal perspective
- The scientific analyses and socio-economic analyses needed to implement a nutrient trading program in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed
