Project Future

Potential for expansion of this project includes:
- Recruiting new farmers to Williamsburg Farmer's Market (Diversifying product mix)
- Better connecting/advertising the market with WM
- Setting up a communal booth at the market to represent farms that can't provide staff on weekends
- Tracking down more farms in the local community to add to the Farm Resource Guide
- Expanding the project to encompass more of VA
- Working with Leanee Dubois to photograph farms and make a printed pamphlet of the FRG

Goals

Working to establish a reliable and frequent Farmer's Market system throughout the county
- Making the farmers market more diversified and enjoyable
Working with Leanne Dubois (Extension Agent) to find and document all local farmers in JCC, New Kent County and Charles City County
- Building a website of information found
- Making a map using GIS of all the farms
- Recruiting a photographer to take photos of the farms

Williamsburg GOALS:
- Provide healthy regionally produced foood to the Williamsburg Community
- Stimulate the farm economy and preseve agricultural land
- Revive the historic role of the Williamsburg town center as ap lace for marekts
- create a fun and educational venue to enhance community life in Williamsburg
