Web Page Ownership

What do we mean when we say someone "owns" a web page?

To the re.web team, when we refer to the "owner" of a web page, we mean that entity (person, department, etc.) which has the ultimate responsibility for the information on that page. A web page's "owner" is responsible for ensuring that it's content is current and accurate, and may ultimately be responsible for the long-term editing of the page.
